We can do it, obviously we can for we are super developers, but...
The problem lies in the fact that each api, or each consumer\producer developed by another team has its own interface requirements. Just for rest interfaces there are a myriad of combinations. Heck it looks like each api tried to invent the wheel of response formats again instead of following a standard format. So if we want to build a scripting system for example we would need to KNOW these specifications. I dont know about you, but I feel the gates of bughell opening!! So what would our first step be to rectify this problem? Making sure all components talk the same language. Hence the UMF for distributed systems.
